Gear

It’s not the gear but how you use it.

This is as true a statement as there is in the recording world. A studio can have great gear but unless it is used properly by someone with the knowledge and experience required, great results are not guaranteed.

Scotty has made it his mission to equip Zension Studio with not only great gear, but has dedicated himself to understanding its benefits and limitations. Scotty builds and modifies a variety of his gear to achieve the best sonic qualities and add his own unique signature to them.

Having spent time recording in some of the worlds greatest studios like Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and Blackbird Studios in Nashville, he knows what gear is actually used in these iconic locations to make great sounds and not just on hand to look good on social media posts.
